Introduction:

Chronic venous disease (CVD) is a universal health burden. Its Global prevalence is estimated between 5-30% among adult. However, there is no Indian epidemiological data available about the disease.
The disease is often overlooked because of an under-apperception of the magnitude & impact of the problem. It also has a socio-economic impact (because of severe manifestations) resulting in reduced quality of life and financial constraints.
All this leads to under diagnosis of the disease and hence also remains under treated. The registry aims to collect information about the disease in Indian population, so that we have credit bill Indian epidemiological data. This data can be use for publication.
Such a published study can used as a reference for planning epidemiological surveys and studies future. This can help to increase awareness both among the medical fraternity and population at large about the need to diagnose and treat the disease as early as possible.
